Alan L. Girod was born in Salem, OR to Lloyd D. and Elsie M. (Rose) Girod. The family lived in the Fruitland area and attended school there. After several moves the family eventually settled in Idanha in 1946 living in a tent house before moving to the CCC Camp. Doris Ellen Hand
October 1, 1929 – August 5, 2010
Doris Ellen Hand passed away peacefully August 5th with her family at her side after suffering several years with Alzheimer’s. The oldest of 13 children, Doris was born October 1, 1929, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Ernie and Ellen (Bowcutt)Hicks. She spent her younger years living in Utah, California, Washington and the Silverton Hills in Oregon where her father farmed, raising chickens and strawberries. She was married to William Wood Carlson in 1945 and had two children, Cheryl Anne and Sandra Suzanne (Sue).

Erwin C. Jeffers

Erwin Jeffers (Jeff) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday. He was 73. Erwin was born in Caldwell, Idaho. He married Sharon Rolland in Weiser, Idaho on March 20, 1961. Sharon preceded him in death in May of 2000. Erwin drove truck for the same company for more than 40 years. His great passion was working on cars. Salem– Doris M. Travis, 65, passed away on Friday the 23rd at her home in Salem.
Born at Downey, CA, the daughter of Fred and Pearl Stilwell.
Graduate of Lynwood high school in Lynwood, CA.
She was married to Edwin Potter in May of 1966, he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1984.
She had worked for the Dept. of Aviation as an office specialist before retiring.
She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading the bible and attending bible classes.
She was also a 20 yrs.
