CHARLES OAKFORD TEDROW

Charles Oakford Tedrow

Scio-Charles “Ted” Tedrow was born on December 24, 1921, in Fresno, California, and passed away

on February 28, 2010. His parents were Otho and Gertie Tedrow. Ted grew up in Los Angeles and

graduated from Inglewood High School. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, during which time he was

a navigational skills trainer to pilot trainees. In 1946 he enrolled in the University of California, specializing in agricultural studies.

Ted married Beverly Moran in 1948, and in 1951 they settled in Scio, Oregon. They had three sons.

Ted worked for 31 years as a highway engineer for the Oregon Highway Department in Salem, retiring

in 1982. He was a member of Stayton United Methodist Church.

Ted is survived by his wife Beverly, sons Brad, Gary and Greg Tedrow, Seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Stayton United Methodist Church, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church for the children’s camp fund.
