Bertha E. Reis, went peacefully home to be with her Lord, Friday, July 23, 2010. Bertha was born in Tripp, S. Dakota, August 9, 1914 to William and Emilie Kindopp. Bertha married William (Bill) Reis on October 9, 1935 in Kimball, S. Dakota. They lived in Parmalee, S. Dakota until the fall of 1940 when they moved to the Stayton area with their two small children. Bill and Bertha helped establish Calvary Lutheran Church in 1946.
